Warehouse operations
WMS: warehouse receipts to shipments
Each goods movement has a task, a location and a responsible person.
Proposal to explore
Who it is for: Logistics directors and warehouse leaders. WMS means warehouse management system.
The work to address
Goods are physically present but difficult to find. Staff select the wrong batch, storage location, items or shipping destination.
Inputs
Receipts, orders, storage addresses, batches, placement and picking rules, scans and confirmed movements.
Expected outcome
Traceable goods movements and clear tasks for warehouse staff.
How the process could work
A proposed workflow. We validate actions, connections and permissions against your data before launch.
Receive and put away
A receipt creates receiving and checking tasks. Scans verify goods and batches, the system suggests permitted locations and records confirmed movements.
Pick and ship
Orders trigger picking, completeness checks and handover for shipment. Route discrepancies to an owner. Rules can include expiry dates, quarantined stock and batch issue sequence.
What to verify before launch
The human decision
Discrepancies, disputed receipts, write-offs, substitutions and exceptions to rules.
What to verify before launch
Choose one zone and flow type. Decide whether to connect an existing WMS or build a new warehouse solution.
Solution boundaries
Connecting BOS to an existing WMS and building a full WMS on BOS are different project scopes. A full WMS requires separate assessment of load, hardware, offline operation and accounting accuracy. No ready-made WMS is claimed here.
How to assess results
Picking errors, search and picking time, stock accuracy and share of confirmed movements.
Connecting departments
The warehouse receives approved tasks from procurement, production and sales and returns confirmed facts to accounting.
What our engineer configures
We start with a limited area. Our engineer configures BusinessOS around your rules, connects the necessary systems and stays to support and develop the solution.
Warehouse rules, work screens, scanners, labels and exchange with accounting and an existing WMS.

In 20 minutes, discuss inputs, the required output and where a person is needed. Then agree what to test and which materials are necessary.
